Show MEXICAN TRIPS SLATED AT U Two three-week tours of Mexico have been scheduled by the University Uni-versity of Utah extension division this summer. The tours, which will be guided by Ross W. Holland, will cost $180 per person for transportation, guides, local tours in principal cities and miscellaneous group expenses. ex-penses. Food and lodging (approximately (approx-imately $6 per day) will be extra. The first tour will begin June 10, according to Holland. The second is tentatively scheduled for July 20. "The tours will provide an opportunity op-portunity to see ancient, historic and modern Mexico," Holland explained. ex-plained. "We will visit Mexico City, Guadalajara, Monterrey, Puebla and many smaller communities. Carlsbad Caverns will be visited en. route." The trip, which will be made by chartered bus, has been planned so as to provide ample free time for individual sightseeing, shopping, study and recreation. All travel will be during daylight hours. In addition to Holland, who is an experienced conductor of Mexican Mex-ican tours, the group will include Elbert E. Miller, professor of Latin American Geography, and C. Gregory Greg-ory Crampton,, professor of Latin American history at the University of Utah. Dr. Charles E. Dibble, professor of anthropology at the university and one of the world's foremost authorities on the Aztecs, will join the group at Mexico City, where he is now doing field work. All of these men speak Spanish fluently. Reservations must be made for the trips by May 15. |
