Show BETHA SlflGLETON TO MARRY 1 REID HOWARD TUESDAY Miss Singleton, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O. J. Singleton, 1036 Logan avenue, will be feted at a number of parties prior to the wedding. On June 9, Miss Jean Parry, Miss Ruth Burke and Mrs. Gordon Hansen, attendants to the bride, presented a kitchen and linen shower. In a lovely candlelight ceremony before the fern-banked fireplace at the home of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard E. Adams, 146 Harvard avenue, Miss Betha Singleton will exchange vows with Reid M. Howard Tuesday, June 17 at 6:30 p.m. Mr. Adams, a former for-mer LDS bishop, will perform the ceremony. Mr. Howard is the son of Mrs. Teresa Mabel Howard of Salt Lake and Dr. G. M. Howard of Bountiful. Dr. Howard honored his son and future daughter-in-law at at barJ becue in his home Wednesday, June 11. Miss Lois Dee Larsen, Miss Sharon Shar-on Hughes, Miss Shirley Gilbert, Miss Burnie Gibbs, Mrs. David Parry and Mrs. Al Burke will assist at the reception following the nuptials. Homer Adams, an uncle of the bride, and Jim Mackie will each render vocal selections. Paul Anastatiou will be best man. The new Mr. and Mrs. Howard will honeymoon at the north rim of the Grand anyon. |
