SYMPHONY CONCERT SUCCESSFUL I The Symphony Singers presented present-ed their annual Rose concert last Thursday evening in the LDS Bryan Bry-an ward chapel, under the baton of . Eugene E. Brough, director. Guest artists were Joyce Hoskins Tim-merman, Tim-merman, pianist, and Glen L. Slight, baritone. N. Kay Brown accompanied Mir. Slight. Showing its versatility, the chorus chor-us demonstrated again the high uanty of musicianship which has built the fine reputation the group enjoys. Mrs. Timmerman presented a group of piano solos; Mr. Slight rendered numbers by Handel, Brahms, Mozart, Edwards, Murray and Kernochen. Mr. Brough has the reputation of being able to draw more music from his singers than most directors. di-rectors. He was in complete control con-trol of the singers at all times. Elva Fletcher is the accompanist accompa-nist for the group, and Mrs. Tim-merman Tim-merman assists in this department on some occasions.
