Show Holladay Lions Club Starts Plans For Birthday Party With Auxiliary Jack Yeamans, social worker for the Murray Allen Blind Center Cen-ter and for Utah state, addressed members of Holladay Lions Club at a dinner meeting last week. Mr. Yeamans spoke of the program pro-gram at the Center and throughout through-out the state in training the blind not only in accepting their social problems but in sustaining themselves. During the course of the meeting meet-ing plans were made for a birth-dap birth-dap party for April 12, when the auxiliary members will join the Holladay members to celebrate their anniversary. Also discussed were spring and summer programs over which Steve McDonald will be chairman. Applications for membership were mentioned by John Haslam as was the annual state convention to be held at St. George during June. Charles Cottrell, president, presided pre-sided at the meeting. |
