Show ELIAS ELLEFSEN HONORED ON 8GTII BIRTHDAY Elias Ellefsen, Fresno, Calif., and former resident, was honored on his 80th birthday Sunday from 4 to 9 p.m. at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Paul L. Pehrson, 1713 Orchard Dr. Two hundred friends and relatives rela-tives called to wish him well and renew acquaintance. Mr Ellefsen worked as a cabinet cab-inet 'maker from 1914 to 1944, during which time he was employed by the American Fixture Co., Salt Lake Cabinet and Fixture Co. and Central Planing Mill. Born April 5, 1878, in Bergen, Norway, he migrated to the United States in 1906 and resided in Chicago Chi-cago for a time, coming to Salt Lake City in 1914. Returning in 1944, Mr. and Mrs. Ellefsen served LDS missions in Texas-Louisiana for the LDS church. He was foreman of the carpenter shop of Deseret Industries after their return and in 1950 they moved to Fresno. They came to Salt Lake to attend at-tend LDS conference and visit their family of two sons and three daughters, daugh-ters, Mrs. Paul Pehrson, Mrs. William Wil-liam F. Keineberg and H. H. Ellefsen, Ellef-sen, all of this city, and here for the occasion were Mr. and Mrs. Carl Ellefsen, Fresno, and Mrs. Fred Baleme, Hawthorne, Calif., son and daughter of the couple. Prior to the open house, the family gathered at the Pehrson home for a turkey dinner, with 32 present. The Ellefsens will visit about two weeks before returning to their California home |
