Show ii31 IIlt Eac ?i VFW TINY TOT PRIZES GIVEN TO GIRLS, BOYS Winners were announced and prizes awarded in the Sugar House Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3586 Tiny Tot popularity contest held recently at the post home, 2920 Highland Drive. Children under un-der 6 competed. Among the girls, Terry Russo won first place and received a heavy duty tricycle donated by Gambles Western Auto Supply, and a beautiful gold loving cup donated by Giffins Credit Jewelers. Second place girl was Gladys Day, who was awarded a lovely pair of yellow pajamas donated by the Young Fashion Shoppe. Continued on Page 3 VFW TINY TOT Continued irom Page 1 Shauna Bailey cornered third place and received' a big Topsy-Turvy ball. Little Steven Garrison was tops among the boys, and he won a gold loving cup donated by Gif-fin's, Gif-fin's, as well as a pair of cowboy boots and a toy air rifle. Second place boy, Johnny Day, received a big toy garbage truck, and Ted Bradshaw as third place winner, was awarded a Topsy-Turvy Topsy-Turvy ball. All the children in the contest received candy all-day suckers donated by Erickson's Pharmacy, and balloons. The girls were all given bright new jumping ropes, and the boys were made happy with bags df marbles. There were other prizes donated by local merchants which will be used later. The Sugar House post (sponsors an essay contest and sports contest for the young people, peo-ple, and the winner will be awarded award-ed gold trophy cups donated by Schubach's Television Center. Lovely blue scatter pins donated by Finkhauser Jewelry and a bou doir lamp donated by Nilson Furniture Fur-niture company will both be used as door prizes at a fund-raising project to be sponsored by the post in the near future.' An excellent quality table model radio was donated by Sterling Furniture company, while a pair of hose was donated by Floraine Fashions. |
