Show N. G. Morgan Sr. Heads Sons of Utah Pioneers Mr. Hale announced that the directors of the Sugar House chapter chap-ter will meet Wednesday, August 12. '! irX ' Nicholas G. Morgan, Sr., Salt Lake attorney, was named president presi-dent of the National Sons of Utah Pioneers at its national encampment encamp-ment in Ogden Saturday. He succeeds Richard A. Lambert. Horace A. Sorensen, prominent 'Sugar House business man, was elected first vice president, succeeding succeed-ing Mr. Morgan. Dr. Joel E. Ricks, Logan, president of the Utah Historical Hi-storical Society, was named" second vice president. Others chosen included P. Leroy Nelson, third vice president, Karl B. Hale, fourth, and Verl G. Dixon, Dix-on, fifth vice presidents. The election and meeting was held in the Institute of Religion of the LDS church. The group held a picnic lunch in the Box Elder Canyon at Brig-ham Brig-ham City at noon. The Box Elder Camp " of the SUP presented an historical program. During the af-tterjioon af-tterjioon they toured the Bear River migratory bird refuge. The members and partners attended at-tended a dinner at Ma and Pa's near Ogden Saturday evening. The results of the annual pioneer story contest were told. Attending from the Sugar House chapter were Mr. and Mrs. Karl B. Hale, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Jensen, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Bills, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Andrus, Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Layton, Mr. and Mrs. Tanner Brown, Mr. and' Mrs. Charles Romney, Mr. and Mrs. Ren Summerhayes, Mr. and Mrs. Ron Kingsbury, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Lambert, Lam-bert, Mr. and Mrs. Dave Evans, Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Stout, Mr. and Mrs. John Haslam, and Mr. and Mrs. Fred E.
