Show Highland High School P.T.A. Organizes The new Parents Teachers Association Asso-ciation of Highland High School met Wednesday under the direction of its new president Mrs. David E. Saley, Jr., for the purpose of formulating form-ulating plans for the coming year. Principal Fred Arbogast met with the group in the school's library. Up for consideration were two major projects. A membership drive is to be started as soon as possible to swell the ranks of the infant organization. Also plans for a back-to-school night were tentatively tenta-tively set for November 29th. Purpose Pur-pose of this evening will be to acquaint ac-quaint the parents of pupils in the new school with teachers and the new building. Cooperating with Mrs. David E. Saley, Jr., president, 2694 Imperial Street is 1st vice president Mrs. J. R. Garrett, 2514 So. 15th East; 2nd vice president Dr. Fred Arbogast, Arbo-gast, Highland High principal; 3rd vice president Mrs. Verne B. Reese of 1516 South 19th East; treasurer Mrs. Gilbert Clark, 2285 Preston; and secretary Mrs. David Brown, 1807 Kensington. This entire slate of officers was elected by acclamation acclama-tion at a meeting held on Nov. 8th. |
