Show SWEDISH ART FILM SHOWN The Swedish film, "Miss Julie" was an excellent choice for the official opening of the World Playhouse Play-house in Sugar House last week. Anita Bjork, playing the title role, was excellent. The photography, however, was inferior to the American product. With the exception of Miss Bjork's outstanding charaetization, the whole film seemed to be much ado about nothing. The melodramatic melodra-matic plot was the kind outdated in this country decades ago. It was encouraging to note the long lineup at the Playhouse box-office, box-office, for it indicates a growing interest in art films. "Miss Julie" played to large audiences over the week end and will continue to be shown at two performances each evening until Thursday at least. |
