Show Editorial . . . YOUR CIDXD'S EDUCATION The Utah Educational Association Associa-tion is holding its 59th Annual Convention. It's a three day meet covering all fields of education educa-tion with a roster of guest speakers speak-ers from all over the country. The back cover of their program pro-gram contains a quote from Horace Mann. Because we think that many people will not have opportunity to read it we want to pass it on. It is worthy of the consideration of every parent. "Pour out light and truth, as God pours sunshine and rain. No longer seek knowledge as the luxury of a few, but dispense it amongst all as the bread of life. Learn only how their ignorant may learn; how the innocent may be preserved; the vicious reclaimed. reclaim-ed. Collect whatever of talent, or erudition, or eloquence, or authority, author-ity, the broad land can supply, and go forth, and teach this people. For, in the name of the living God it must be proclaimed that licentiousness shall be the liberty; and violence and chicanery chican-ery shall be the law; and superstition super-stition and craft shall be the religion; re-ligion; and the self-destructive indulgence in-dulgence of all sensual and unhallowed un-hallowed passions shall be the only happiness of that people who neglect the education of their children."
