Show SCOOT AWARDS MADE AT GALA BANQUET A total of more than 70 awards were presented to members of Boy Scout Troop 38 last week. Presentation was made at the troop's annual father and son banquet, ban-quet, held at the Wasatch Presbyterian Presby-terian church. Ten new members were accepted into the troop, raising the total enrollment en-rollment to 66, according to Scoutmaster Scout-master Glen Thompson. This is the largest membership of any of the thirty-odd troops in Twin Peaks district. Speaker was local FBI Agent Don Cornelius, who lauded the scout movement as one of the most effective organizations extant for building good citizens. Mr. Cornelius urged the fathers to work and play more closely with their sons as a means of combating combat-ing juvenile delinquency. Scout Tommy Roth played several sev-eral piano selections. Scout Mothers organization, headed by Mrs. Oscar Baer, prepared pre-pared the banquet. |
