Show mm mmE 10BHESSSS 1 El. KIWAFilAFSS, Jack Curtice, coach at the University Uni-versity of Utah, was guest speaker at the Sugar House Kiwanis luncheon lunch-eon Tuesday. Kurt Jenkins, vice president, introduced in-troduced the speaker and guest Bud Jack, athletic manager at the university. A report on the succesful peanut sales was given. Funds from the project will provide activities for children of the Sugar House area. The luncheon meet was held at Sir Lester's with 60 members and guests attending. It was announced that Frank E. Masland Jr., president of C. H. Masland & Sons, weavers of carpets car-pets and rugs, will be guest speaker speak-er at the luncheon Tuesday, October Oc-tober 5. Masland, writer, explorer and adventurer, ad-venturer, has just completed his book, "The Rim of Time," telling his experience on his trip down the Colorado river. He will show a film on his two trips down the Colorado at the luncheon. One of two corporation presidents presi-dents who have made the trip, Masland also is a member of the Explorer club of New York and Ocean Cruising club of England. He holds many positions in civic organizations in his community. S. Morgan Sorensen, program chairman, will introduce Masland. |
