MUSEUM The recent aquisition of a collection col-lection ot horse-drawn buggies, coaches and wagons from the m d-v.est d-v.est is now being featured in the wo coach houses recently constructed con-structed at the Sons of Utah Pioneers Pio-neers Museum, 3000 Connor St., iccording to H. A. Sorensen. Outstanding is the collection of guns and the museum has acquired many from th-r Cavdv?!' Cm ""-"5 :o!Iecion at Chester, N. H. Fea-uvtd Fea-uvtd :n the collection are such Tamous types of fire-arms as the blunderbuss guns used by Miles Standish; 45:70 rifles of the Spanish-American war and Custer's Last Stand. They also have many Revolu- tionary and Civil War rifles, pistols pis-tols and swords such as were used by Lewis and Clark, Kit Carson and Mormon pioneers. Tours through the museum are conducted by special arrangement by calling 5-4130. |
