Show STYLOIDS AT TV0 GIG SHOWS Sugar House furniture stores w ill soon be showing new spring merchandise mer-chandise which was featured at the eastern and western markets the past two weeks. Attending the furniture showings show-ings in Chicago were Henry Richards, Rich-ards, Granite; S. Morgan Soren-sen, Soren-sen, South East, and Ray Nilson of Nilson's. 1 Horace A. The wrought iron touch is shown in designs for all rooms of the home. Upholstered living room suites featured with the iron arms and legs, dinette and breakfast sets also featured with the tubular metal designs, with the color modes turning the brighter tones of chartreuse, char-treuse, yellow and reds. Bedroom suites are designed with the new, modern iron legs and accessories, ac-cessories, boudoir lamps and mirror frames, featured of wrought iron, were shown, too, with the conventional con-ventional wood suites. The newest thing shown in woods were the new colors even in the trad it ional mahogony. Designers have brought it out this season in new, lighter shades' and the trend shows it is replacing the blond woods of the past several years. The new designs in iron were featured to blend with these conventional con-ventional styles. Wrought iron magazine racks, lamps and baskets were among outstanding accessories acces-sories for the lviing rooms. Also shown were many designs using fibre glass, both in cushioning cushion-ing in upholstered furniture and as a firm material on table tops. It found much approval with the buyers buy-ers for its durability and beauty of design. New fabrics are again in the limelight in decorating and the synthetic materials continue to lead the market in popularity. The new designs in nylons and plastics plas-tics for upholstering and also for floor coverings were shown in many more modern flat weaves, with rough texture, rather than the mohair and frieze of the past. Black tubular iron pieces will grace the porches and patios, taking tak-ing the place of the bright colors. Sugar House buyers call it one of the most successful markets ever attended, high styled furniture furn-iture by the i best designers with the greatest trend in good design at moderate prices. |
