Mr. Ling came to the United j .States to attend a convention in i Philadelphia, Penn., which will start the first of September. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Ling, two daughters, Janet and June and Mr. Ling's father took a trip while ha visited with them. They traveled through the Indian Reservation in Arizona and New Mexico. They spent the night in Tuba City and also stopped at Window Rock the new Capitol of the Navajo Indians In their travels they came to the Hopi town of Hoyteville. They found the town completely deserted and they could tell it had just been deserted very suddenly. When they arrived in the next small town they inquired abcul Hoyteville. They were told that a thunderstorm came the night before be-fore and lightning struck a house. The Indians completely abandoned the town for a certain length of time. He left for Philadelphia Saturday Satur-day evening. |
