Show Know Him, know Her, Know Them THEY'RE IN SUGA3 E10USE TO WELCOME YOU, SERVE YOU : -V-"-- V S-"!faf' The Young Fashions, opening at 2032 South 11th East in 19'0, is the first such venture for Mrs. Mary Sigsby. Mrs. Sigsby is a native of Sugar House, having been born here and received her education here. Her career, as a surgical designer de-signer took her east, where she and her husband made their home for a number of years. It was the inspiration of creating creat-ing things for children in her surgical designing career that prompted the idea for the fashions for children and the apparel for mothers-to-be. Her busy life has left no time for hobbies, but she says they enjoy en-joy driving around viewing the change which has taken place in Salt Lake since they left. ELAINE PORTER at Olympic Sales Elaine Porter is the young woman wo-man at the Olympia Sales who will be ever ready with suggestions for Sugar House home makers during spring cleaning and decorating periods. Elaine has a natural talent for decorating and makes it her chief hobby, studying the latest trends. Her spare time is spent decorating decorat-ing and carrying out new ideas in her own home, which is a large, old house and presents a continual challenge. She enjoys all periods of decorating, decorat-ing, but the modern color schemes Music has played an important part in her life and she has been active in church choirs and sang wdth a dance band. Her music activities now, however, are confined con-fined to collecting records and studying the lives of musicians. Elaine is a native of Salt Lake, but has lived in New York, New Jersey and Florida, but came back to her home town to rear her small son and send him to school. Although Al-though having traveled, she claims the distinction of never having been to California. When asked about her sport interests, she admitted her favorite favor-ite one was avoiding athletics of all kinds . . . eccept running for a bus to hie off to work after sending send-ing small son to school. She makes her home at 28 N. Street for herself and boy. |
