Show SUGAR HOUSE B. P. W. HOSTESSES AT 'DOWN MEXICO WAY' PROGRAM Members of the Sugar House Business and Professional Women's Wo-men's Club will be hostesses at a special "Down Mexico Way" program pro-gram to which the public is invited in-vited without charge at the Irving next Monday evening, May 11th, at 8 p. m., according to an announcement an-nouncement made today by Mrs. E. M. Royle, president. The meeting is to be held to supplement sup-plement the furthering ..of Pan-American Pan-American relationships which is currently being carrried on in the radio program, "Down Mexico Way," presented ty KDYL in Salt Lake City and produced pro-duced by the National Broadcasting Broadcast-ing Company at the suggestion of Vice-President Henry A. Wallace. Wal-lace. This KDYL-NBC radio program carries the national endorsement en-dorsement of the Business and Professional Women's Clubs. Highlights of the program to be staged next Monday evening by KDYL at the Irving Auditorium will be traditional and authentic Mexican Mex-ican songs and dances; a brief talk on Pan-American friendships by Mrs. Burton Musser of Salt Lake City, internationally-known in this field; a message from Senor Federico Gutierres Pastor, Consul de Mexicon in Salt Lake City and an interpretation by the Vice-Consul, Senor S. M. Pereyra; and the feature talk of the evening on "Mexico" given by David N. Simmons, Promotion Manager of KDYL. It is anticipated Members of the Business and Professional Women's Clubs anticipate an-ticipate that many honored guests will be on hand for this patriotic occasion. Among those invited are Governor Herbert B. Maw; President J. Ruben Clark of the L. D. S. Church; Secretary of the State of Utah, E. E. Monson; Mayor Ab Jenkins of Salt Lake; and many more. Members of Salt Lake City's Mexican colony are also especially invited to attend. Special seating arrangements have been made for the delegation. Monday's Nights Program to include in-clude authentic Mexican songs and dances and will be of a type which is heard on the "Down Mexico Way" program on KDYL each Saturday afternoon at 2 p. m. Next Saturday incidentally, Miss Lenora Romer, State President Pres-ident of the Utah Federation of Business and Professional Clubs will appear on KDYL at 1:55 p. lm. for a special program. |
