Show DOING THE TOWN ' By Elaine Cannon Lots of people in town have been enjoying the company of Mrs. Winfield Cannon and her children, Michael, Stuart and Suzanne. They came up from Los Angeles for conference and have been royally entertained since by Mrs. Lou Clawson, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. R. Robinson, Mrs. S. Q. Cannon, Mr. and Mrs. Julian Cannon. They have been staying at the home of Mr. and Mrs. L. W. Allred, 1433 Hollywood Holly-wood avenue. Ann Brown, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mac Brown, came along, too. Things are bnzzin', you bet, as all the Highland View Ward members busy themselves them-selves in preparation for the big welfare dinner to be held in the amusement hall, April 21st Lots of fan and good food for everyone. The energetic ener-getic Thomas W. Jensens will supervise. At the Mortar Board fashion show in the U. of U. Union building we saw Mjrs. Milt Weilenmann and Mrs. Aldon Jr. Anderson with their mothers . . . Mrs. Wayne C. Durham handling cake and candy sales . . . Mrs. Stanford Darger sitting sit-ting with her daughter Evelyn . . . Beth West, Barbara Caine, Mary Ellen Bennett, Bobbie Bennion, Julia Allen, Hope Horsfall, Mrs. Thomas Holland Jr. proudly watching son Gregg model . . . Mrs. Peter Freed . . . Mrs. Lee Sargent. When those fuzzy bunnies begin their annual march across counter tops, on swinging doors, in display cases and show windows win-dows . . . you know that Easter can't be far behind. But somehow, some-how, regardless of the actual date, Easter seems to come sooner every year! Shopping with the big day in mind and Sugar House as their point of action, we saw Mrs. Fred Lawson and, son Rick. . . . Erla P. Young (Mrs. Spence) and her young fry. . . . Mrs. T. A. Clawson and her pooch. Daughter Sue covered the shops with her chum, Ann Clark- . . . Mx. and Mrs. Hugh B. Brown selecting elegant-looking pas- tries. . . Mrs. Spencer Snow in a smartly casual brown-and-white coat. When Stevie Jackson celebrated cele-brated his fifth birthday it was quite an occasion. The party was held at the home of his parents, Dr. and Mrs. Elvon G. Jackson of 1328 Westminster Ave. Mrs. Jack Adamson and Hugh and Jane, Mrs. Jack Haley with young Scott were among those present. Balloons, paper hats, and candy Easter bunnies sent the children home happy indeed. Dinner before dancing. . . . Mr. and Mrs. Wayne F. Richards Rich-ards entertained at a swank buffet supper. Everybody came looking their most elegant ele-gant in tuxedos and swishing formats. On the guest list . . . Mr. and Mrs. Glen W fester, Mr. and Mrs. G. Lamont Richards, Rich-ards, Mr. and Mrs. Lester F. Hewlett, Dr. and Mrs. Girard Hale. The party was held on Mrs. Wayne Richards' birthday, birth-day, and whew the group moved on to the Stariite Gar-dens Gar-dens for the Bonneville Dancing Danc-ing club, the orchitrtra dedicated dedi-cated the birthday song to |
