Show Garfield Plant Sets 6 Million Expansion A $6,250,000 expansion program pro-gram destined to cut down waste, increase acid output and eliminate the smoke nuisance at the Garfield Chemical Company Plant was announced recently by the company president. W. J. O'Connor. The construction will be completed within the next two years. Plans call for an addition ad-dition to the present acid plant of a "cottrell treatsr" and flue. The new facilities when in operation oper-ation will convert much of the waste fumes into useful acids.
