WILL HOLD TRADE MEETINGS In ordar to assist merchants in making out their pricing cbsrte requested by the new clothing and house furnishings regulat-ons, officials of the Office of Frice Administration will hold trade meetings throughout the tate during the week of March 26th, Hamer S. Culp, chairman of the Salt Lake City, war price and rationing board, announced this week. MetXings have been scheduled ' f although the time and places of meetings in the different towns have not as yet been announced. Community Service Release 195. Nation wide dollar and cent ceiling prices on all tvpes of hay at all levels of distribution were established bv the Office of Price Adm.instrat.ion, effective May 1, 1945 Mrs. R. L. The new regulation place's hay in four divisions, namely 1, alfalfa, al-falfa, 2. clover (except sweet ciov. er), timothy and timothy mixed, grain hay and wild oats. Cow-pea. Cow-pea. soybean, sweet clover and kudza and 4. Grass hays includ ing red top, orchard grass, blue grass Bermuda, Sudan, broom grasses, and all other hay not SDecifically included in any of the foregoing divisions. For prices contact your local war price and rationing board or the district OPA office, salt Lake City. GASOLINE Gasoline ration A-15 became valid March 22 for four gal ions of gasoline, and will remain good until J21. Coupon A-14 expired midnight March 21. Deaiers w'li have through March 31 to turn in A-14 coupons to their suppliers in exchange for gasoline or to sur render them to their war price and rationing board for ration checks. Distributors will" have through April 10 to deposit these coupons in their ration banking account. OPA again reminds mo-torists, mo-torists, dealers and distributors that coupons must be properly indorsed in-dorsed in order to stop illegal trade in coupons. WILL ASSIST VETERANS TO J ESTABLISH BUSINESS In order ' to assist veterans of the present war to become estab-lished estab-lished in their own businesses, the OPA will permit them to secure rationed foods for two tyues of business which have heretofore been closed to newcomers. 1. Establishments that have rationed foods as raw materials, such ts bakeries, and 2. establish-ments establish-ments which use rationed foods in the series of refreshment, such as popcorn stands, and potato chip stands. Only veterans who have seen at least 90 days active service and who have been discharged dis-charged because of injury or dis-ability dis-ability incurred in the line of of duty, and he must have an honorable hon-orable discharge, may apply. The National OPA office will pass upon up-on applications turned in to the local war price and rationing board. 1 |
