Board of Health Report For the week ending March 23, local health officers reported a total of 737 cases of communirab-le communirab-le diseaseases, 25 of these were listed as non-residents, For the previous week, 548 resident cases and 30 non-resident cases were re. ported. Highlighting the report ljr tho week are 4 cases of unduiant fever, Logan City, Morgan County Salt Lake City, and Sanpete. Ooun ty each reported one case of the disease. The patients are all adults, nad, according to the attending at-tending physicians, "raw milk" is given as the source of the infection. in-fection. Eleven residents p.nd 4 non-resident cases of unduiant fever have been reported in the State during 1945 as compared , with 15 resident and 4 nnnresi-' I dent cases for the entire period I of 1944. ! Four cases of tuberculosis were reported 2 of whom, are liscd as non-residents of the state. Since January 1. of this year, a total of 28 resident cases and 17 nonresident non-resident cases of tuberculosis have been reported. Three cases of epidemic diarrhea diarr-hea of the newborn were reported from Salt Lake City and Salt Lake County. Richfield and the following counties reported, no disease, ror the week: Box Elder, Daggett, Duchesne, Juab, Rich, Uintah, and Wasatch. The totals are as follows: chick enpox 220, influenza 29. measles 116, German measles 54, mumps 16S, pneumonia 3, scarlet fever 30, tuberculosis 4, unduiant fever 4, whooping cough 27, gonorrhea (resident) 25, non-residen'; 12, syphilis (resident) 22, (non resi-ident) resi-ident) 2. rheumatic fever 3. epidemic ep-idemic diarrhea of the newborn 3. and chancroid 1. |
