Show Utah Symhony Plans Banner Music Season This is Symphony month for Utah. The excellent Utah musical organization which has been waging an arduous fight to keep alive, appears to be healthier than ever this season as it opens its tenth season, and the 1949-50 1949-50 season looms as the finest in the ten-year history of the Utah Symphony Orchestra. State Group This is truly a state organization organiza-tion with talent enlisted from Logan to Cedar City and concerts con-certs scheduled at Provo, St. George, Cedar City, Ogden and Logan as well as Salt Lake and others on the tentative list. Never before has a finer list of guest stars been included onj the program. The appearances of Artur Rubinstein, Nathan Milstein, Frances Magnes and Corinne Lacomble are arousing unusual interest. Chorus Concert j The University of Utah com- bined choruses and the Symphony Sym-phony will present Verdi's Requiem Re-quiem at Kingsbury Hall on Dec. 9-10 in another feature. Outside of this event, all concerts con-certs will be held at the Tabernacle Taber-nacle in Salt Lake. Roscoe Grover, manager of! Radio Station KSUB in Cedar, City and well-known radio and stage star, will read "Peter and the Wolf" in the Dec. 28 concert. con-cert. A wonderful winter's program has been lined up for all Utahns to enjoy and big turnouts are expected by David S. Romney, managing director. Symphony fans are urged to secure tickets early. Special student tickets, a full season for just $6, are being sold this year to encourage young music lovers. The new Symphony office is located at 55 West on First South in Salt Lake City.
