Show Joyce Bowen Becomes Bride of Dean L. Maughan In Salt Lake LDS Temple Rites October 28 Miss Joyce Bowen, daughter of Mr .and Mrs. John H. Bowen, 1714 East 3015 South, became the bride of Dean L. Maughan in a Salt Lake Temple marriage, Friday, Oct. 28. Mr. Maughan is a son of Bishop and Mrs. Charles P. Maughan of Layton. Pres. Robert A. Young performed per-formed the ceremony. The newly-weds were honored hon-ored at a reception held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold D. White. For the occation the bride wore a white satin colonial co-lonial gown, designed by bride, which fell gracefully into a lace panel from the low waiste-line. The snug fitting bodice was set off with a row of buttons down the front. She carried a bouquet bou-quet of wjiite roses, and her veil was caught by a pearl crown. Attending the new Mrs. Maughan were Mrs. Zina B. Woolsey and Mrs. Idona B. Jackson, sisters of the bride, and Mrs. May N. Greaves. Lavender La-vender gowns, designed like the bride's, were worn by the attendants, at-tendants, who carried' gold flower bouquets. Jan La Raine Jackson and Patricia Woolsey in gold dresses and lavender garlands of flowers, were flower girls for their aunt Twin brother of the groom, Dale L. Maughan, stood as best man, while duties of ushering were performed by Wayne Nelson, Nel-son, Edsel Jorgenson. William Tingey and Jay Bowen. Prior to the wedding, Misa Bowen was extensively entertained enter-tained by parties and showered with lovely gifts. |
