Show Steed-Mannitag Nuptials He!d Saturday evening at 7 p.m. in the chapel of the University LDS Institute, Virgie Steed, daughter of Mrs. Josephine Steed, 1034 Garfield Ave., became be-came the bride of Jack Manning Hardy, son of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Hardy, 1605 South 15th East. Ernest A. Nelson, performed the- ceremony before members of the family and a few close friends. A reception followed. The charming brunette bride who was given in marriage by her brother, John Steed, chose to wear a gown of ivory satia for her wedding. The gown vis fashioned with a full skirt, a sheer lace yoke and long tapering taper-ing sleeves trimmed with lace. A cathedral train completed the bridal dress. Her bouquet was white carnations centered with an orchid. Maid of Honor Marylin Finlayson was maid of honor and bridesmaids were Carol White Joan Hardy, and Diae Gottheimer. Each wore an off the shoulder gown of crisp organdy, mint green in 'color. They carried nosegays of pink carnations. Dean Hardy performed 'the duties of best man. Lois Roestenberg, Karren Jacobs and Shirley Thomas were in charge of the gift room. Janice Burgeson took charge of the guest book. Pat Evrgeson. Georgianne Osguthor1 and Hurley Osguthorpe assisted in serving. |
