Show THIS and THAT By Leah Bond The ARLO FURLONGS are going to be missed in the ward. They have moved on to Browning Brown-ing Avenue. ERMA FURLONG is going to finish out the year as president of the Primary, however. . . . Speaking of Primary Union meeting will be Saturday at 2 p.m, in the Granite Stakehouse. The flu bug has been getting a lot of people down. DORA B ROUGH and JANE GOSS are two victims. They have been at home nursing miserable colds. Hope they're up and around again soon. . .. . We'll be missing MELVIN and NORRINE McFARLAND and their small fry, as well as MR. and MRS. CALVIN PENDLETON. PEN-DLETON. They've all moved to Washington state to make their home. It's a baby boy for the WARREN WAR-REN FENNS over on 11th East. The little fellow is their first, and they've ichosen the name MICHAEL for him. Proud grandparents are the MILBURN FENNS, 1801 South 11th East. Members of the A a r o n i c Priesthood sat down to a super turkey dinner last Friday night down at the ward. It was the finish of the "Chicken and Bean" contest that has been going go-ing on far several months.The quorums had an attendance contest and the winners were to eat chicken and the losers beans. It turned out to be a turkey dinner, with all the Aaronic sharing in the feast even though JOHN MOORE'S and NORMAN JENSEN'S deacons dea-cons were the winners. . . NEIL MAXWELL was the speaker at church on Sunday evening. MARYLIN JOHNSON represented the LDS Girls with a short talk. There will be no meetings in the ward next Sunday Sun-day except in the Junior Sunday Sun-day School, because of quarterly quarter-ly conference VIRGIE STEED is the most recent gal around these parts married last Saturday. . . . The special interest group of the MIA held a Fireside at the home of EDNA. BENNION on Sunday evening. FRED GOLD-ING GOLD-ING was the speaker. At the LEO CUTLER home the Genealogical Genea-logical Society met and listened to a discourse on the "Dispersion "Disper-sion of Israel" by John Black-welder. Black-welder.
