Show S. L. Is Scene of Convention For Pojiltrynien Farmers More than 400 poultrymen and farmers from all parts of the state will gather ini Salt Lake City Friday and Saturday for the 27th annual convention of the Utah Poultry and Farmers' Farm-ers' Cooperative, which will be held at the Hotel Utah. Meetings will start Friday at 9 a.m. and continue to Saturday night. The convention will be closed with a banquet and program. pro-gram. Four unusually fine speakers have been lined up for the convention, con-vention, according to Albert Tregaskis of American Fork, chairman of the convention .committee. Featured speaker will be J. Kenneth Stern, newly named president of the American Institute Insti-tute of Cooperation, who will fly here from New York City for the event. Gov. J. Bracken Lee also will make a talk, along with Mark E. Petersen, general manager of the Deseret News, and Ezra T. Benson, former executive secretary of the National Council Coun-cil of Farmer Cooperatives. Clyde C Edmonds, general manager of Utah Poultry, will make his annual report. A special spe-cial mee'ing of all branch managers man-agers will be held, along with a special women's auxiliary meeting which will be, directed by Mrs. F. M. Cornaby'of Spanish Span-ish Fork. |
