Show SHERMAN P-TA HOLDS PROGRAM MONDAY, 8 P.M. A special program will be held at the Sherman School Monday, April 3, at 8 p.m., by the Parent-Teacher Association, according to Mrs. Arthur F. Baird, 2768 Yuma Circle, president. Miss Helen Kimball is slated to give a review of the best-selling best-selling novel, GENTIAN HILL, by Elizabeth Goudge. Following the book review, there will be a sweet sale, with P-TA officers, commit-mitt.ee commit-mitt.ee chairmen and room mothers donating cakes, pies, cookies or candy. I Mrs. Lyle S. Stillman, 3390. Oak wood, and Mrs. G. Wayne Hess, 3509 So. 23rd East, are in charge fo this sale. Proceeds from the event will be used to purchase steel bicycle racks for the school grounds, Mrs. Baird said. Each year the P-TA has a project to buy something some-thing of value which is not on the school budget, Mrs. Baird concluded. |
