Show Dr. David Blood Dies Suddenly At His Home Dr. David Wilkie Blood, 31, died suddenly Tuesday at 8:30 p.m., of a heart atack at his home, 2665 Aiden Street. A practicing physician at the time of his death, Dr. Blood was born in Salt Lake, a son of Dr. and Mrs. Wilkie H Blood, 267 Virginia Street He graduated gradu-ated from the University of Utah with an A. B. degree in 1940. He was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and Pi Kappa Alpha social fraternity. On Dec. 23, 1943, he received his doctor of medicine' degree from ColunibiaUiniversity school of medicine. He completed both his internship and residency at Presbyterian Hospital in New i- York City. Due to outstanding work, he was awarded a fellowship for research and study of cardiovascular cardio-vascular diseases b3r Presbyterian Presbyter-ian Hospital. Dr. Blood was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha professional fraternity; a diplomat diplo-mat of the American Board of Internal Medicine; and a fellow of "the American Medical Association Asso-ciation He married Julia Elizabeth Bouchelle of Birmingham, Ala. on May 4, 1946 in Corinth, Miss. He and his wife came to Salt Lake two years ago, where he has engaged in private practice. He was a member of the LDS Hospital staff and the Salt Lake County Medical Society. A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Dr. Blood was an advisor to the Explorer post of the Stratford Strat-ford Ward. He was also a member mem-ber of the Salt Lake Junior Chamber df Comerce. In addition to his widow and parents, Dr. Blood is survived by one daughter, Julia McLe-more McLe-more Blood, and a sister, Cynthia Cyn-thia Blood, Salt Lake City. (See Editorial, Page 2.) |
