Show S. H. Business Woman Wedded In June Rites at Capitol Florence P. Black, Sugar House business woman, was wedded June 30 in the Supreme Court chambers at the Capitol Bldg. to Dr. A. R. Mortensen, prominent Utah historian. Judge J. Allan Crockett of the Utah Supreme Court performed the marriage ceremony. The bride is the owner of Floraine Fashions, a ladies' ready-to-wear apparel shop located lo-cated at 2040 South 11th East. Following the exchanging of marital vows, the newlyweds left on a honeymoon trip which took them to Lake Tahoe, Califor nia points, and Yellowstone National Na-tional Park. In California, Dr. Mortensen conferred with prominent prom-inent historians on the campuses cam-puses at Berkeley and Palo Alto, while the new Mrs Mortensen made a tour of the San Francisco Fran-cisco fashion centers The groom is historian for the State Historical Society, with offices in the State Capitol, and is the author of several historical his-torical wcflks. His latest book, just off the press by wedding time, is "Pageant of the Wilderness." Wil-derness." The new Mortensens are at home at 2684 Hartford Ave. |
