Show Bandit Holds Up Local Dentist A series of daring felonies centering in the Sugar House area was climaxed when Dr. E. Waddoups. 1704 Herbert Ave., prominent local dentist report-ed report-ed that he was held up Saturday r morning in his office at 2016 11th East and robbed of an SS00 diamond ring and $75 in cash. Arriving at his office at nine o'clock, he found a small dark-man dark-man who was supjxisedly waiting wait-ing to have some dental work done. The dentist told the man to be seated while he prepared for work. On returning Dr. Waddouiis found his "patient" armed with a grin. The bandit took the ring and money leaving leav-ing $18 in the dentist's billfold. The bandit then left with the warning. "Don't try to follow me or I'll blow your guts out." Waddoups then ran out into the street where he found spe-clal spe-clal officer William Waller and told him of the holdup. Officer Offi-cer Waller contacted Officer Paul F. Nelson, just recently transferred to the Sugar House force, who conducted the investigation. inves-tigation. Dr. Waddoups described the Vanriit as being 5 feet, 5 inches tall. 40 to -15 years old, noticeable bump on nose, spoke with a slow drawl, and probably Italian or Mexican. This same man is suspected sus-pected of conducting the daring dar-ing daylight hold-up of the Liberal Lib-eral Loan Co., 19 E. 1st South, Monday afternoon. |
