Show Pair Married Fifty-Six Years Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Bowden, 2640 So. 600 East, celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary last Tuesday with an open house. Of the many friends and relation rela-tion who called, none looked happier than this well-known Sugar House pair. Asked if it seemed like a long time, Mrs. Bowden reaffirmed her conviction that, "Any number num-ber of years is not long if you think in terms of a lifetime." Mr. and Mrs. Bowden were married in the LDS temple in Logan, Nov. 19. 1890, where they began married life. They lived in Brigham City seven years. Mr. Bowden has been a stockman stock-man and farmer all his life. Mrs. Bowden kept the home in order and raised eight children and two grandchildren. In addition, Mrs. Bowden was a nurse and helped to bring 100 children into the world. All eight of the children are still living. They are: Lawrence W., of Moore,' Ida.; Clifford S., Lewiston; Kenneth E., Wisdom, Mont.; Mrs. Juanita and Mrs. Gladys Hoskins, Ogden; Charles A., George A., and Mrs. Myrtle Sampson, all of Salt Lake City. |
