Show Kiddies Frolic Set for Feb. 27 At S.H.Ward Parents will take a back seat Friday evening, Feb. 27, when the young children of Sugai House Wa'rd celebrate their second sec-ond annual "Kiddies' Frolic" in the ward" amusement hall. Making arrangements for the colorful event are the members of the Sunday School superin-tendency: superin-tendency: Alphonso G. Pia, superintendent; su-perintendent; Marvin Curtis, first counselor, and Dean W. Chipman, second counselor. The frolic was held for the first time last year, according to Mr. Curtis and brought huge crowds. Children's Parade Main event of the evening, scheduled" to get underway at 7 p.m., is a children's parade, featuring floats made from doll buggies, wagons, tricycles and other children's vehicles. Certain Cer-tain themes of special interest to children should be followed in decorating the floats, Mr. Curtis suggested. There will be first place ribbons awarded to the best float in each of the following classifications: doll buggy, wagon, individual float or costume, and group float or costume. The youngest, participant partic-ipant will also receive a ribbon. There will be one grand prize in cash awarded to the outstanding entrant. Another drawing card, Mr. Curtis said, is that ice cream will be served to all parade participants. par-ticipants. A photographer will also be there to take pictures of children as the next feature of and 7:30 p.m. A second event of the program pro-gram will be a marionette show, to be conducted by Cora Winkler Wink-ler and her family. A magician, Odes Record, will entertain the children a the next feature of the evening's program. The latter part of the program will be musical numbers played play-ed by Bob Cox on his accordion. |
