Show Short Sports Items . . . Approximately ten promising young skiers from Salt Lake will be racing for the Salt Lake Ski Club in the National Junior downhill and slalom meet to be held at Bogus Basin, Boise, Ida., March 20-21. Included in the local entourage will be Darrell Robinson, Hugh Cummings, Jim Epperson, Dave Christensen and Peter Vandehei. These boys are good and may well be future Olympic champs. The National Nation-al Junior meet is for young skiers ski-ers 17 and under. Joan Law, Irving Junior High miss who has been placing well in the tournaments, broke her leg at Aspen last week and will be unable to participate in the National Junior meet. Jack Reddish evidently hit his waxing combination last week at the North American ski championship meet at Aspen March 13' and 14 as he took first-place first-place combination honors. Jack won the downhill on Saturday and tied for first place in the slalom on Sunday. Two other Salt Lake boys showed up well in placing among the first five: Pat Kearns and Willy Farrell.
