Show CHURCH NEWS & NOTICES BRYAN WARD NEW JOB FOR SCOUT DIRECTOR Ralph Klenk has been sent to St: Georga by the state road commission to take care of a new road job starting up down there so we lose our Senior Scout director. But Bert Busath who has been doing such an outstanding job with these boys as their coach in basketball will take over. BRYAN ENTERS THE ALL-CHURCH Bryan Ward Senior Scouts will represent Sugar Hous Stake m the All Church runoff run-off because they won so manj games and also because one team was disqualified. These boys surely deserve this honoi having won 14 out of 15 games played this season in regulai competition. Leland Boekwej is leading the boys as high-poinl man but the rest of the team is right up among the high scorers It is a baby boy for Mr. and Mrs. Huish (Lynn Smith) oi Emerson Ward. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Kirkham oi Marlborough W a r d proudly presented the world with a baby daughter, Feb. 29. Dorothy Walton was thrilled at being nine so she had nine of her friends help her cut her birthday cake last Friday. S. H. WARD . . . Bern ell Soelberg, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Soelberg, 1264 Westminster Ave., has received receiv-ed a mission call. Bernell expects ex-pects to leave for Uraguay on May 12. March 23, Archibald S. Bennett, Ben-nett, of the church Genealogical Society will lecture to the M.I.A. special interest group. He has recently completed on extensive tour of Europe. Clark Fawson celebrated his birthday by serving at the youth banquet in the Sugar House Ward on the March 11. Mrs. Martha Balls, 1963 So. 12th East, is recovering at her home from a broken hip. |
