Show i C of C Members Discuss Future Developments The Tuesday Sugar House Chamber of Commerce monthly meeting was devoted to a discussion dis-cussion of chamber activities, conducted by Ray D. Free, chamber president. According to Mr. Free, about four meetings meet-ings out of the year are set aside for open forum discussions discus-sions on any subject which the members may wish to bring up. First report was made by John C. Barnes, who reported that progress was being made on the white-way lighting system sys-tem of Sugar House. Mr. Barnes indicated that it would not be long before Sugar House would have the best lighted streets in the state. Mr. Barnes also told of his recent trip to San Francisco, where he learned learn-ed that Salt Lake was famous not just for its scenery, but more for its friendly people. Ray E. Nilson encouraged members to aid him in completing complet-ing the S5000 Sugar House Promotion Pro-motion and Development Fund drive by contributing unselfishly unselfish-ly to aid the 1948 Chamber program pro-gram Al Larsen commended Mr Nilson for his work and called upon all business and professional men and women of Sugar House to give Mr. Nilson their greatest cooperation. After passing a motion setting J the dates for the Style Show and the Centennial, the chamber cham-ber heard a report from Norman O. Jensen and Jim Roberts on the Utah Association for The United Nations. |
