Show 8 Burglaries Cleared With 4 Youths Arrested The record eight local burglaries bur-glaries in one week which took place two weeks ago were filed away in the "cases solved" division di-vision of Salt Lake police records, rec-ords, Lt. Charles J. Larson announced an-nounced Tuesday, as all eight felonies were cleared with the arrest of four local juveniles. In one week the youthful thieves broke into offices of Drs. Middlemiss and Jones, 2046 So. 11th East, the Bamberger Coal Company yard, three times into Buehner Cinder Block Company, Com-pany, 640 Wilmington Ave., El-kins El-kins Planing Mill, 2237 So. 6th East. Hawk's Drive Inn Lunch, 713 E. 21st South, and Wasatch Cleaners, 719 E. 21st South. Estimated Es-timated damage of the one-week crime wave was set at $560, according ac-cording to Lt. Larson. Saturday, March 13, all of the youths were arrested. Lt. Larson Lar-son stated that he believed that the juveniles will be held responsible re-sponsible for the damage they have done and will have to make restitution. Included in the damage listed was a partially partial-ly wrecked gate at the coal yard, a stolen ring and typewriter, damaged clothing and furniture caused by the foamite spray from a fire extinguisher which was taken off the wall at the Deseret Industries building, broken windows and locks. |
