Show 1 500 Attend Ward Banquet tion of D. James Cannon, Aldon Junior Anderson, and Milton L. Weilenmann. Prize Winner H. A. Sorensen, chairman of the building fund finance committee, com-mittee, announced that Niels P. Larsen, 2219 East 3020 South, would be presented with a rocker in recognition of his outstanding work in selling 125 donation tickets for Monday's banquet. R. A. Austin, a member of the finance committee, also announced an-nounced that William Green and Daniel Wade would receive hand wrought solid bronze eandleholders and vase sets in appreciation of their efforts in soliciting funds for the new chapel. The eandleholders and vases are made by Mr. Austin, who has received a great deal of recognition for his fine handicraft. Approximately 500 member? and friends' of the Rosecrest. LDS Ward were entertained at a building fund raising banciu and program Monday evening, according to Bishop Golden Haight. The guests were served a full course turkey dinner under the direction of the ward Relief Society. So-ciety. Assisting were members of the LDS Girls group and the Primary officers and teachers. Swedish Program The program, which was entitled en-titled "A Little Bit of Sweden" included the following numbers: Trumpet solo, John Omer; guitar gui-tar solo, Herman Holmgren; accordion numbers, Hallen and son Frank; Swedish dances in native costume, Fingel Segor-stedt; Segor-stedt; Swedish dialect, Niels Fugal; Swedish songs, Miss Olga Johnson. Several fine merchandise prizes were given away including includ-ing an automatic laundro-mat, vacuum cleaner, electric roaster, toaster, and iron. The prizes, were given out under the direc- |
