Show J Socielu DOING THE TOWN By Elaine Cannon It's fun to do the town with Southeasterners . . . they're always in on something interesting. Paul and Franny Langton are passing around the glad news that they have a son ... at last! Three darling daughters, Karen, Sherrie and Vicki, think that having a boy in the family will be something wonderful. The very welcome lad weighed in at 8 pounds and 3 ounces on Monday. He'll be named Dennis Paul. About Sunday Mrs. Lang-ton Lang-ton and her precious bundle will arrive home from the hospital. hos-pital. The Langtons live at 1569 South 21st East Street. Roscrest Ward members have been wot-king overtime in raising funds for their new chapel. Final big victory dinner din-ner Monday night brought out such well known South-easterners South-easterners as Bishop J. Golden Haight, Mr. and Mrs. Milton Weilenmann, Joe and Gwen Shaw, Mr. and Mrs. Horace Sorensen and Stanford, Lu-zelle Lu-zelle and Betty Jean Chip-man, Chip-man, Mr. and Mrs. Lamojit Gunderson. Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Clark Invited friends in for a Saturday night snack at the lovely new Wainwright road home. It's welcome home to Mrs. Stuart Jardine who is known professionally as Winnifred C. Jardine. She's back from a Foods convention in New York where she won first place for her newspaper work among Food editors the nation over. Some honor! She visited with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Claw-son Claw-son Y. Cannon, in Ames, Iowa before returning home. Sons Jimmy and Steven made the trip with her and stayed with her grandparents while their Mommy took in the business at Chicago. Ross and Alene Dalton are New Yorkers now. Bag and baggage all stacked up neatly in their apartment looks very much like they are there to stay . . . for a while at least. Lyman Ballif was host at one of the gayest parties of the season sea-son over the week-end. Saw Jean Ward, Dez Barker, Cal Cook, Nadine Anderson, Allen and Joanne Barker, Lowell Anderson An-derson among others. Party was in honor of Dez whose birthday it was, and Lowell who just returned re-turned from a mission to France. |
