Show DOING THE TOW By Elaine Cannon With the merchants pushing back-to-school items these hot . summer days, southeasterners are still busily entertaining themselves them-selves with trips, parties weddings 'n such. Big news items for the stork club set . . . there's a darling new member to welcome into the crowd. It's tiny Ruth Ann Snyder, newly-born daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Con Snyder of 1444 Logan Avenue. Mrs. Snyder is the former Frances Ann Green. Salt Lakers will have a chance to get acquainted with the wee one in the next week or two and then the Snyders will take Ruth Ann back to Chicago where Con will study dentistry at Northwestern. North-western. Another important baby . . . the second son of Mr. and Mrs. S. Fred Price of Inglewood, Cal. Announcements say that he was born Aug. 5 and will be named Daniel Glen (after his grandfather, grand-father, Dr. Glen Anderson of 1703 Yalecrest Ave., no doubt). Mrs. Price is the former Elaine Anderson. Five-year-old Billy is mighty glad to have a brother. Tommy Dorsey brought, many a Salt Laker to the Rainbow to dance. A sixsomc ... They'll .return to their California home the end of August. Popular Salt Lake visitor is Mrs. Edward F. Kercher of St. Louis, Mo. She's being royally entertained during , her visit this month by her many friends. Hostess at luncheon Wednesday was her sister, Elaine (Mrs. Joseph Tanner), who laid covers for guests in her Layton home. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Schlotz-hauer Schlotz-hauer took in the sigths of Yellowstone this week, too. Their home is on 29th South 'round 27th East way. |
