Show Garden Group Plans Meet Monday Night Member of the Canyon Breeze Garden Club will hold their second meeting of the season sea-son at the Sherman School on Monday, July 23, Mrs. Frank E. Pitts, organization president announced today. Two colored sound films "How To Grow Beautiful Roses" and "Mystery of Plant Life' will feature the evening's program. pro-gram. Roy Hilliam will be present pres-ent to answer gardeners' pertinent perti-nent questions, Mrs. Pitts said. The club, which was only recently re-cently 'organized, has 55 members mem-bers and will meet on the fourth Monday of each month. The name for the organization was suggested by B. M. Winsor, 1615 East 3350 South, who was awarded a Rhizome Iris valued at $15 for his suggestion. Other officers working in the organization include Mrs. B. M. Winsor, first vice president; Mrs. Alfred Gygele, second vice president; Mrs. Loyal Bennion, recording secretary; Mrs. Clyde Brady, treasurer; Mrs. Vernon Anderson, historian; Mrs. Mel-vin Mel-vin Wiseman, .corresponding secretary; Mrs. H. W. Steggell, program chairman; Albert O. Thompson and Melvin Wiseman, two and one year directors, respectively. re-spectively. Mrs. Draper will arrange and direct tours for the organization. The Monday meeting will commence com-mence at 8 o'clock in the eve-j eve-j ning, according to the club president. |
