Show Beth Ann Sorensen Recites Wedding Vows With Charles S. McDonald in Lovely Home Rites Nuptial vows recited in a setting of Christmas decoration united the former Miss Beth Ann Sorensen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Horace A. Sorensen, 3000 Connor Street, and Charles Smith McDonald in marriage. The ceremony was performed t-at the home of the bride's parents, par-ents, with Golden Haight of the LDS Church officiating. The bride chose a gown of powder blue veleteen fashioned with high tie neckline and long sleeves. She carried a muff mounted with a white orchid circled by small lavendar orchids. or-chids. She wore a halo of orchids or-chids and stephanotis. Her sole attendant was Miss Joyce Johnson who mirrored the bride in a gown of dusty rose velveteen. She wore a pink rose headband and her muff. Frank McDonald stood as best man for his brother. They are a ,. the sons of Mrs. Farquher McDonald, Mc-Donald, 723 Smith Place, and the late Mr. McDonald. The living room, where the ceremony took place, was beautifully beau-tifully decorated in pastel Christmas Christ-mas decorations. A white tree was bedecked with silver bells and pink and blue balls The mantel was laid with tall candles can-dles and white chrysanthemums. ' Buffet supper was served to the small group of friends and members of the family following follow-ing the ceremony. A three-tiered cake topped with a wedding bell and surrounded by gardenias gar-denias and Vanta orchids centered cen-tered the table. Orchids for the occasion were shipped from Hawaii by a friend - of the Sorensens, Mrs. Afoon Kamauoha. Two hundred hun-dred orchids were flown from the islands and arrived in time to be used extensively for wedding wed-ding decorations. After a honeymoon trip to Sun Valley the couple will return re-turn to Salt Lake to make their home and continue their' studies at the University of Utah. |
