Show Melodrama at Westminster A real, old fashioned melodrama with gallant hero, fainting heroine, hero-ine, and craven villain, will be presented at Westminster College at 8 p. m., December 5, by an all-male cast. Sponsored by Phi Gamma Alpha, the college chapter chapt-er of the Y. M. C. A., and directed direct-ed by Mrs. Robert D. Steele, the play will take the audience back to the showboats. "The Forty-Niners" Forty-Niners" was written half a century cen-tury ago by the fabous actor H. T. Henshaw. The cast includes Daniel Parks as the hero, Jack Harrod as the heroine, and Tom Cuthbert as the villain. Othe characters are portrayed by Robert Clark, Robert Rob-ert Bonnet, Robert Deardorff, William Bonnet, Allan Poison, James MacSwain, James Koji, and Cavin Holladay. Specialties between the acts will be presented by Walker Dia-manti, Dia-manti, and by Floradora Sixet composed of Robert Buzza, William Wil-liam Thomas, John Hooker, Leo Gormley, Robert, Clalrk, Robert Rob-ert Nash, and directed by Mrs. Walter Simpson. After the play which will be given in Converse Hall, the college col-lege Y. W. C. A., is sponsoring a Carnival in the Payne Gymnasium on the campus, Thirteenth East Seventeenth South. |
