Show SOUTHEAST BOWLING NEWS The league leaders, Bingham I Merchants, again had high series 4n the Southside leogue last week : with G. Abplaralp and P. Slotte j having 237 each for high game to 'helu add up a 2816 for the team. 'Camera Centre's 986 was high 'game and George Clemens rolled I a nice 630 for the team. Ray Hic-kox Hic-kox had 607 for Dee's Hamburg-!er. Hamburg-!er. j' Remington led by V. McGuire's i Landsome 661 series topped the Southeast league last week with i a 2753 series. Ashton Heating had i 958 for high team games, and Claire Randall went to taown for i Pepsi-Cola to the tune of a 649 series and 245 game. Nancy Neslen deserves special spec-ial mention for her sterling performance per-formance in both women's leagues last week. In the Recreation leag-ue leag-ue she had a 529 series with a 189 gnme while her team rolled up a 1617 series and 560 game. .On Friday night Nancy was really real-ly fieing. In her first game she added up two spares and eight strikes for a beautiful 267, and ended with a record 580 series as well. Her team, the Southeast Courts, which is leading the Cardinal Card-inal league, had high series, 2256 and game 826. In the Motor League Streator-Smith Streator-Smith had a 2577 series and 928 game for high team scores, but Howard Sanson of the Radio Service Ser-vice team was high individual. He rolled a 632 with a 233 game, and Nesbitt of Streator-Smith had a 601. Mountain Fuel Supply and Frank's Hut are now tied at the top of the Lumbermen's league. Smith of Auto Supply rolled a 235 game while his team chalked up a 2614 series. J. Knight had 600 for M and M Mill with its team game of 901 being high. Granite Mill team went wild Monday night against Thor Tools, they rolled a 2976 high serie3 with "ra Gors 'cading with ,a 682 'followed by representative Hob'bs , 621. Thor Tools rolled a 2805 to lose four points. Thev are consid- ered the unlucky gang having more pins than the other teams with the least pins. It was a hot night for the Sugar House Major league. A. Cox rolled 631 and Earl Hickox 626. Sugar House Coal still leads the league "with Red Crown and Granite Mill tied for second place not far behind. Utah Building Supply Co. team has the reputation of always winning win-ning the first game and loosing the next three points. a |
