Show Public Health A total of 1890 cases of communicable com-municable diseases was reported by the local health officers to the Utah State Board of Health for the week ending January 10. This total represents 689 fewer cases than were reported last week. Only 1564 cases of influenza, were reported for the week as compared with 2344 for the previous prev-ious week. All sections of the State with the exception of Carbon Car-bon County reported fewer cases of this disease. The report also shows a reduction re-duction in the number of cases of pneumonia a total of 22 cases as compared with 33 for last week. No cases of diphtheria, typhoid fever, nor smallpox were reported. report-ed. Other diseases reported were as follows: chlckenpox 163, measles 12, German measles 14, mumps 34, scarlet fever 7, tuberculosis 4, whooping cough 34, gonorrhea 12, syphilis 21, septic sore throat 2, and undulant fever 1. |
