Fawson, an operator for the Utah Light and Traction Company, who celebrated celebrat-ed the forty-third anniversary of his birth, Friday, May 30th. Mr. Fawson has lived in the Sugar , House District for the past twen ty-one years and at the present time resides at 674 Mansfield Avenue. Mr. Fawson was born in Grants-ville. Grants-ville. Utah in the year 1S98. After completing his schooling, Mr. Fawson assisted his father on the farm until he reached the age of twenty. He then came to Salt Lake City and obtained a job associated as-sociated with the Orpheum Theater. Thea-ter. He next placed an application with the Traction Company and was employed in August of 1916 F as a street car motorman. During the past twenty years. Mr. Faw son has acquired a commendable 1 safety record and has been awarded award-ed two two-year Safety Awards by the National Safety Council, each signifying two continuous years of operaton without an accident ac-cident of any descripeion. He has also been awarded two silver stars by the Company signifying seven continuous years of driving without with-out a chargeable accident. Past experience has taught Mr. Fawson the uselessness of making elaborate plans for a birthday celebration on Decoration Day with its usual bad weather, and so this year he expects t0 do all the celebrating at home with a birthday dinner just for the family. fam-ily.
