Show Storks Shunning Germany; Fail to Return as Usual BOSTON. The stork, a bird not j hitherto noted for discrimination, is 1 avoiding Germany. According to Arthur J. Orner, I Congregational educational mission-1 mission-1 ary under the American Board of j Foreign Missions in Mt. Silinda, ! Rhodesia, these birds have gone on a strike and refuse to return to their usual nesting places in Germany. Mr. Orner explained that they usually usu-ally migrate to South Africa for the winter, returning home for the nesting nest-ing season. This year, he said, they stayed in South Africa. |
