Show Public Health A total of 487 cases of communicable commun-icable disease was reported to the Division of Epidemiology, Utah State Board of Health, for the week ending March 28. This is 92 cases more than were reported re-ported last week and 258 cases fewer than were reported a year ago. German measels led the list of commuicable diseases with a total 166 cases. Whooping cough was second with 90 cases and chicken-pox chicken-pox was third with 67 cases. One case of diphtheria was reported re-ported from Salt Lake City; the patient is 2 years of age. One case of tuberculosis was reported from Salt Lake City. So far this year, 40 cases of tuberculosis tuber-culosis have been reported from the entire state. Other communicable diseases were as follows: influenza 18, measles 31, mumps 58, pneumonia 17, scarlet fever 11, and syphilis 17. Brigham, Logan, and Cedar City, and the following counties reported "no disease" for the week: Duchesne. Kane, Morgan, Summit, Uintah, and Wayne. |
