Show Mining Industry Offers Opportunity to Workers !-.. . ! v . ".'"I Woven through the history of western United States is the story of mining. From humble circumstances men have risen to great heights in the development of the resources that are today furnishing the implements imple-ments with which our soldiers are beating back the enemy. Great communities com-munities have been built around areas which produce the metals and history reveals that they have been responsible for much of the advancement ad-vancement of civilization. Today the ranks of the metal mining industry have been depleted by the demand for manpower else-where, else-where, and today as never before there is opportunity in the industry for men who want to get ahead. While mining is a technical industry, in-dustry, those who adapt themselves eaa learn it quickly. There is o-p-portunity for advancement and for men to become their own operator! and developers. All of the great mines of today were once mere prospects. Men who began &s miners and muckers have risen t captains of industry. Moreover, mining is an essential industry, so classified by the war manpower commission. Those who engage in mining are patriotic and are doing a service to their nation comparable to the men who are, fighting at the fronts. |
