Show State Defense Savings Group Meet SALT LAKE CITY Plans to reach into every county and community com-munity with a Pledge Campaign by which the Treasury Department Depart-ment will seek information on future sales of Defense Bonds and Stamps were being furthered this week, with the beginning of the Campaign set for April 6. Members of the State Defense Savings Committee, representing al parts of Utah, met here with former Governor Charles R. Mab-ey, Mab-ey, State Admimistrator, to hear the program explained. The drive got an erly start when all 35 Committee members in attendance attend-ance cigned Pledges themselves. Under the plan, all workers will be asked to sign voluntary Pledges, indicating how many Bonds or' Stamps they can buy on regular paydays. Mr. Maybey emphasized em-phasized the fact that the Campaign Cam-paign is not designed to put workers "on the spot," but to obtain ob-tain confidential information so the Treasury Department may es timate to what extent the war effort ef-fort can be financed by Bonds and Stamps Information will be kept confidential by the Treasury Department.
