Show Westminster Will Host Tool Engineers Westminster College again this year will be host to the Annual Conference and Educational Edu-cational Display of the American Ameri-can Society of Tool Engineers, sponsored by Salt Lake City Chapter No. 85 on Nov. 6 and 7, it was announced by Prof. Harold S. Carter, head of the college engineering department This is . the " third conference and display held by A.S.T.E. and the second time Westminster West-minster has been host. The first was held at the University of Utah. Facilities for the displays, ('Continued on page 3) (Continued from page 1) Westminster Engineers buffet and conference sessions will be provided by the college in the Payne Gymnasium and Student Loungfe. The public is invited to view the displays in the Gymnasium which will include a variety of probuct-ion probuct-ion tools valued at many thousand dollars, produced, imported im-ported and used in the Inter- 1 mountain Region. Tool Engineering Engi-neering students at the college will assist Chapter 85 in accomodating ac-comodating chapter members and the visiting public while on the campus. Among the exhibits will be a large booth displaying activities of the college. These students get their academic training at the college col-lege with laboratory work at regular pay being done at the Eimco Corp., under a cooper-. cooper-. ative agreement between Westminster West-minster and Eimco. The exhibit will be opjen from 2 to 10 p.m. on Nov. 6, and from 2 to 7 p.m. and 9 to 11 p.m. on Nov. 7. On the 7th, a buffet meal will be served from 7 to 8 p.m. in the Student Lounge, with a special program pro-gram to be given from 8 to 9 p.m. Speakers will be Dean Armin J. Hill of the college of Physical and Engineering Science at Brigham Young University, and Gilbert Seely, National Educational Director, of A.S.T.E., Detroit. A feature of the day also will be the final home football game of the season at 1:30 p.m. between the Parsons and Carroll College Col-lege of Helena Montana. |
